Our history
Founded in 1977 by three veterinarians from Africa, Dr. Alexandre Relvas, Dr. João Anjinho and Dr. Fernando Dias, Reagro was originally dedicated to providing animal nutrition and technical follow-up services.
It later dedicated itself to the marketing of raw materials for the agri-food sector, including the wholesale and retail trade of cereals, seeds, pulses, oilseeds and other components for animal feed. In addition, it continued to evolve in the provision of technical advisory services in nutrition, formulation and technology.
Over the years, particularly in the 1990s, led by Dr. João Relvas, the company showed exponential growth in its raw materials trading activity and diversified its business. New ventures were in the fields of extrusion, corn drying, equine nutrition, production of cereal flakes and soya extraction.
On the other hand, it expanded its area of operation to other geographies, namely Spain, focusing on the regions of Extremadura and Andalusia.
Reagro stands out in the internal and external market for the quality, diversity and competitiveness of its products and services.
With over 45 years of activity in this sector, it has consolidated its position based on values of suitability and integrity that have allowed it to create solid and lasting relationships with its business partners.
